The Seven Hills eighth grade boys basketball team continued its reign as champions in the Nevada County Athletic League with a close win over the Rattlers from Magnolia Middle School at the End of the Year tourney.

The teams success over the past two seasons can be attributed to their unselfishness on the court and its dedication to the work and one another. “This team has a natural chemistry, passion, and a love for the game that I have not seen at this level,” said coach Rich Looney. “The county title is the icing on the cake for the team, these boys have worked very hard to be successful.”

In the past year, Seven Hills has played in more than 50 games, losing only four games to elite level teams. Seven Hills was also very strong in tournament play, winning 12 of 14 it competed in.

The team is comprised of Matthew Dal Bon, Riley Cotton, London Wallis, Isaiah Carter, Connor Stoll, Jacob Trembley, Aidan Keros, Dustin Thompson, Nicolas Giannotti, Trevor Neilson, Michael Highsmith and coach Looney.
