YOUTH BASKETBALL: Local shooters shine at the charity stripe

Local shooters found their stroke at the The Knights of Columbus District 4 free throw contest held February 18th at St. Joseph’s Parish in Marysville.

The event was open to local contest winners from Grass Valley, Nevada City, Marysville, Yuba City, and Gridley. Winners at the district level will compete at the Northern California Chapter contest in Citrus Heights Saturday for a trip to the California State Free Throw Championship.

Local shooters that advanced to the Northern California Chapter contest are Ormajean Forest (12 year old girls), Bella O’Neill (14 year old girls), Elle Wood (13 year old girls), Jack O’Neill (12 year old boys), Jayden Antonucci (10 year old boys), Luke Billingsley (11 year old boys), and Claire McDaniel (2nd place, 9 year old girls).
