Wrestlers roll at Rocklin

The Nevada Union Kid Wrestling program competed at a pair of tournaments Saturday.

At the State Qualifiers National Open Wrestling Championships in Rocklin, in the middle school division, Luke Manuel took first in the 95-pound weight class.

Matt Manuel (75 pounds), John Corman (75) and Ian Taylor (135) each finished second.

Robert McDaniel took second in the 112 pound weight class in the high school division. Pat Cronan (103) and Kyle Sherlock (171) each took third.

At the Woodland Tournament, Logan Navo won the 42 pound weight class in the 6 and under age division.

Julian Purdy (50), Johnny Foley (66) finished second in the 7 and 8 year old age group.

In the 9 and 10 age group, Clayton Giles (93) took second and Montana Wilcox (60) and Steve Thompson (55) took third. Jordan Sauer (13 and 14 age group) took third at 125 pounds.

Michael Halby (130) took third in the Cadet division. Wade Sauer (215) was runner up in the high school division.
