Two adult hoops teams unbeaten

The Adult Education Basketball League is three weeks old and a pair of teams are undefeated.

Kevin Bennet scored a team-high 13 points and Mark Steffen chipped in 10 points as Casey Wood (3-0) moved to the top of the B-1 table with a 49-46 win over Mitchell Land/Timber (1-2). Adrayan Aguirre tallied a game-high 17 points in the loss.



In the C league, Volz Bros (3-0) beat Hills Flat Lumber (0-3) 50-35 to grab first place. Jon Hinrichs led Volz Bros with 14 points.




In other B-1 League action, Washington Ridge’s (2-1) Jeff Bickmeyer torched Sierra Plumbing (0-3) for 35 points in a 86-61 win. Nevada County Broadcasters (1-2), on a game-high 16 points from Scott Murray, defeated Spencer Construction (1-2) 49-38.

In B-2 play, Calvary Chapel’s (2-1) Todd Ahlberg totaled 17 points in a 74-49 win over Knight’s Paint (0-3). Dustin Dehart scored 25 points in the loss.

Candy Apple Construction (2-1) squeaked out a 49-46 win over The Gold Exchange (2-1).

Mountain People (1-2) broke into the win column with a 53-43 decision over Grizzly Lodge (2-1).

In C League, Jim’s Transmission’s (2-1) Chris Cades poured in 30 points in a 49-44 win over What’s My Sign (1-2).

Hair By Gary moved to 2-1 with a 58-55 overtime win over DeMartini RV (1-2).
