TNF seeks trail input

Tahoe National Forest gets money each year from the state to maintain trails for snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles.

As part of that grant process, TNF will hold open houses on Tuesday and April 4 to gather public input.

“I’d like to encourage anyone interested in the (Off-Highway Vehicle) program to drop by for either open house and discuss their thoughts … or concerns that they might have,” said David Michael, TNF Forest Trails Program manager.

Currently, grant applications are being prepared for the winter and summer OHV programs.

The Tuesday open house will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Truckee Ranger Station, 10342 Highway 89 North. The April 4 open house will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at TNF headquarters at 631 Coyote Street, Nevada City.

For information, call David Michael at 478-6183.
