Sportsmen to offer programs
The Nevada County Sportsmen facilities are open for use to the public.
All shooting activities are available to the public. Activities include open shooting for trap, rifle and pistol on Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday. Trap consist of singles or doubles and rifle or pistol can shoot up to 200 yards.
On Wednesdays there is a trap league, starting at 9am with registration starting at 8am.
Archery can be shot on the 42-target range from 10a.m. to sunset, Tuesday through Sunday.

4-H day coming up
Saturday the Nevada County Sportsmen will be hosting a 4-H shooting day.
There will be shooting in archery, .22 rifle and trap.
This is a 4-H/NCS sponsored event on the 3rd Saturday of each month.
All participants will receive shooting and safety instructions by qualified instructors.
Equipment will be furnished if you don’t have your own, and lunch for the kids will be provided.
The event is free and open to all kids signed up with 4-H. Participants don’t have to be a member of 4-H but must sign up with them.

The telemark film “Unparallel II Free World,” a 16-millimeter telemark film, by Josh (Bones) Murphy, is being hosted by Wolf Creek Wilderness, Thursday, Jan. 24.
Wolf Creek is selling advance tickets for $6 each, or at they can be purchased at the door for $7 each.
The film will be shown at Main Street Cafe in Grass Valley. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with live music, and the film starts at 8:00 pm.
