The Bear River Park and Recreation District will be offering a summer youth soccer program for boys and girls 12 to 18 years of age between June 19 and July 26.

Bear River High School coaches Dave Molina and Sukum Sai-Ngarm will direct the program, which will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday evenings at Bear River High School. Registration will be taken June 19.

The cost of the six-week program is $20.



A spring session, also being held Monday and Wednesday evenings at Bear River High School, is currently underway and will conclude May 25.

The 25th annual Go for the Gold Regatta will be held the weekend of June 3-4 at Scotts Flat Lake.

Five races encompassing two days will be held in an event hosted by the Gold Country Yacht Club as a fundraiser to support its junior sailing program.

Three races will be held June 3, with the skippers meeting scheduled for 10 a.m. and first race at 11. A barbecue will be held at 6 that evening.

Two more races will be held starting at 11 a.m. June 4.

On-site registration will be taken at race headquarters in the marina area between 5 and 8 p.m. June 2.
