Another squeaker loss for NU Boys

Nevada Union1s boys basketball team was leading right up to the end, but was nipped at the wire by Woodland Friday at the 26th Annual Bill Cartwright Tournament in Elk Grove.

Gary Daley was the top scorer with 18.



The Miners face Davis for the tournament1s seventh spot at 11 a.m. today at Elk Grove High School.

Lady Miners JV in finals at Roseville




The Lady Miners junior varsity beat Oak Ridge Friday, 36-22, in the semifinals of the Roseville Holiday Hoop tournament at Roseville High School. They play in the championship game at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Great floor leadership was shown by point guard Dani Correll, who scored 12 points while leading the team on three different offenses.
