Softball was the game, but not in the recognizable form familiar to most fans. Memorial Park was the site of an over-the-line softball tournament Friday through Sunday.

Instead of fielding a full team, hitting and running the bases like traditional softball, over-the-line squads are limited in number, there is no base-running and hitting placement is the way to rack up points.
