Soccer fund-raiser to be played next weekend

Cancer Outreach Program Enrichment (COPE) will be hosting a soccer tournament April 27-28 at Samba Soccer in Grass Valley. There will be two divisions each of co-ed, recreational and competitive soccer available.

A $10 minimum donation is required.



All profits will be donated to the cancer center at Sierra Memorial Hospital Foundation to benefit children with cancer.

Sign up for football, cheering at breakfast

Nevada Union Junior Miners are holding signups for cheerleaders and football players, ages 6-15, at their annual Pancake Breakfast Fund-raiser on Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m., at the Penn Valley Fire Station #43 on Spenceville road, Penn Valley. The price of admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children. For information, call 272-6097.

V-ball clinic tonight

The Nevada Union volleyball program will be running a volleyball clinic for middle school boys from 6 to 7 p.m. tonight at Lyman Gilmore middle school. Boys from grades 5-8 are invited to participate.
