Five Free Throw Contest winners from the Fr. Nicolas Phelan Knights of Columbus Council in Grass Valley travelled to Yuba City Feb. 6 to compete in the District 4 contest against competitors from Marysville, Yuba City and Gridley. Pictured are Lola Steel (second place 10 year old girls), Ellie Wood (12 year old girls champion), Jack O’Niell (11 Year Old Boys Champion), and Isaac Fassler (12 Year Old Boys Champion). Not pictured is Felicita Matthews (second place 11 Year Old Girls). Winners advance to the NorCal Chapter contest to vie for a slot in the state championship.   Other local winners who were unable to attend the district meet were Jayden Antonucci, Mitchell Pelline, Ben Griffin, Kamie Prescott, Grace Billingsly, and Katelyn Lorenzo.

Ellie Wood won the 12 year old girls championship, Jack O’Niell won the 11 year old boys championship, Isaac Fassler won the 12 year old boys championship, Lola Steel took second place among 10 year old girls, and Felicita Matthews earned second place among 11 year old girls.
