John Savoie kicked his way into the Bear River football record book in the Bruins’ Pioneer Valley League matchup with host Mira Loma of Sacramento at El Camino High School Thursday. The 6-foot, 170-pound junior safety converted a school record eight extra points in the Bruins’ 56-0 win. The previous mark was set by Jon Morrissey in 1994. Morrissey still holds the school mark in PATs in a season (48) and career (90). Savoie, who is seventh on the team in tackles with 15, has hit 16 of 17 PATs on the year.
