Bjorn Jones, of Grass Valley, claimed first place overall in the men’s race, completing the 3.1 mile course that took runners through parts of south Nevada County in a time of 19 minutes, 6 seconds.
Jones was challenged for the top spot by Sergio Higareda, who came in 6 seconds after Jones and in second place overall.
Amanda Bratton, of Grass Valley, won the women’s 5K race, finishing in a time of 22:58. Taking second place overall was 14-year-old Sheriane Greene with a time of 23:54.
