Robinson shatters motorcycle speed record, again

Grass Valley racer Rocky Robinson once again owns the motorcycle world land speed record, clocking a speed of 376.363 miles per hour at Loctite Land Speed Shootout at the Bonneville Salt Flats.

Robinson’s record run in the Top 1 Ack Attack, which included a new top speed mark of 394 mph, shattered the previous mark of 367.382, set by Chris Carr in the Denis Manning-owned “Seven” streamliner last fall. Manning owns BUB Enterprises, Inc., based in Grass Valley.

The new speed must still be ratified by FIM, the governing body for land speed racing, but the record now appears to be back in the hands of the man who set a record of 360.913 in 2008.
