Roamin Angels report: Boy meets girl . . . and car

Who says romance is dead? First Terry Edwards meets the girl of his dreams, Kathy, through Internet dating and falls in love. Isn’t that romantic?

Then he meets the car of his dreams, a ’55 Chevy Bel-Air with a big block engine, through eBay and falls in love. Now that’s really romantic, Roamin Angel-style. So Terry takes the girl he loves to Georgia to get the car he loves. On the way, he proposes and she accepts. They both love the car and drive it off into the sunset, back to California. It could be a Lifetime movie.

Enough about the girl, what about the car? It has a balanced 427 CID engine with a T-10 4-speed trans and a Hurst shifter. Hedman headers help it to breathe and a Camaro 12-bolt rear end launches it off the line. Power steering and power disc brakes have been added for safety and convenience. A Be-Cool aluminum radiator keeps the engine cool. Inside, Vintage Air cools thetemperature, while a Kenwood 10-disc sound system gives cool sound. All-in-all it is a cool ride.

To bring it all back to the romance bit, Terry and Kathy were married right here at Lake of the Pines Clubhouse and rode off in their ’55 Chevy to live happily ever after. Isn’t that romantic?
