Nevada Union’s Jon Sheets has made the transition from the football field to the hardwood without a hitch.

The senior, who helped lead the the Miner football team to the Metro Conference title this fall – and was the league’s offensive most valuable player – scored a season-high 30 points in the boys basketball team’s 73-58 loss to Fairfield in the third place game of the Amador Valley Tournament in Pleasanton Dec. 14.

Sheets, a guard, was NU’s sole representative on the all-tourney team.
