Chris Thibodeau of Nevada Union did it a little bit of everything in the football team’s 42-7 Sac-Joaquin Section Division I first round win over visiting Laguna Creek Nov. 22. The senior halfback scored his first touchdown on the night early in the second quarter when he recovered a Cardinal fumble after a blocked punt in the end zone.

His next score came with 28 seconds left in the first half with a two-yard run. His performance upped his touchdown total to 14. Joey Bratton leads the team with 15 touchdowns.

Ryan Herrera kept his hot streak alive in NU1s win over Laguna Creek.

The sophomore fullback, who hit paydirt three times in his varsity debut against Grant (Sacramento) the week before, scored three more times in the win. He also led the team in rushing with 76 yards on 12 carries.

Steve Kenny made life tough on Laguna Creek quarterback Matt Podesto in the Nevada Union’s football team’s 42-7 win.

The senior llinebacker snagged a team-high two interceptions to move his season total to three.

Jason Roenicke, Travis Toll and Joel Fike also tallied interceptions in the win.
