NU softball standout signs with San Francisco State

Nevada Union softball standout Savannah Ozuna signed her National Letter of Intent to attend and play for San Francisco State Friday.

Ozuna, a senior, has been a member of the varsity softball team since she was a freshman, and last season helped the Lady Miners reach the postseason for the first time since 2005.

As a junior, Ozuna played first base and batted .307 with six doubles, one home run and 14 RBIs. Ozuna also stole five bases and had a fielding percentage of 96.2.
