NU girls go long to beat Johansen

Tanya Noe and Sara Eidman were deadly from behind the arc in the Nevada Union girls basketball team1s 66-43 win over Johansen (Modesto) in the first round of the Golden Valley Classic in Merced Thursday.

Noe came off the bench to go 5-for-8 from downtown and finish with a team-high 20 points. Eidman, who also came off the bench, went 6-for-10 from long range to finish with 18 points

Ronnie Ellis totaled eight points in the win. Ali Parrot chipped in seven points.



The Lady Miners will play the winner of the Clovis East/Yuba City game in the second round 6:30 p.m. tonight.: 30s
