NU gets second win over Bear River 130

Nevada Union’s Post 130 American Legion baseball team beat host Bear River Post 130 for the second time in three days, coasting to a 6-2 win Thursday.

The game was put on pitcher Robby Porter’s back, who went all seven innings while leveling their South County rivals in 75 pitches.

“There were a lot of balls put in play,” NU Post 130 coach Scott Jones said.



Porter finished with five strikeouts while giving up two hits and two walks. He also contributed to his win with two hits at the plate and one run scored.

Alec Giron led the team with three hits including a double and one run scored.




Adam Kremple added a double and one run scored while Henry Harrison also hit a double in the game.

Nevada Union Post 130 (4-1) will play El Dorado 5 p.m. Tuesday at Nevada Union.
