Over Labor Day weekend, team “Nitro,” a 12U team with the Nevada County Girls Softball Association took first place in the silver division at the NorCal Girls Softball Lollapalooza tournament.

The girls tied their very first game of the tournament and sadly because of drop-time rules took a loss as the other team scored last and “won.” This dropped the girls into the silver bracket. They then went on to play another game on Aug. 30, two games on Aug. 31 and the championship game on Sept. 1. Nitro won every game after their initial loss, taking first place in the silver bracket.
