Nevada County Country club kicks off season with KickOff Tournament

Nevada Country Country Club started their golf tournament season with the annual KickOff Tournament April 6th.

Even with a little rain, a full field enjoyed the low gross/low net event.

In the Men’s first flight, Charlie Dvorak won low gross shooting a 74.

Rob Barker took the low net honors with a 65.

Second flight winners were Jay Snyder for low gross (81) and Dan Johnson for low net (59).  Ron Peachee topped the third flight with a low gross 101, and Bill Thompson and Bill Kot shared low net with a pair of 70’s.

For the women, Marian Slayton won low gross in the first flight with a 97 and Bonnie Marvelli took low net with a 71. Maggie Flecksteiner and Jody Wood won low gross/low net in the ladies second flight.


Jr. Miners earn Shrine Bowl selections

Five Jr. Miner football players and four Jr. Miner cheerleaders have all been selected to participate in the Sacramento (SYF) Youth Shrine Bowl, which benefits Shriners Hospitals for Children.
