Nevada City evens softball series with Grass Valley

Nevada City officials got a little payback Sunday in a 5-3, come-from-behind win against Grass Valley in the second annual “Heroes of October” game between the two cities.

This year’s game was hosted by Nevada City at Pioneer Park, with Nevada City’s Oscar Angold winning MVP honors. The series is now tied one game apiece.

Sunday’s game was filmed by Touchdown Productions and is slated to be televised on NCTV (Comcast Ch. 11 and Suddenlink Ch. 16) at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. The game will also be streaming at that time at NevadaCountyTV.org
