Miners soccer team beats Roseville, 2-0

The Miners got their first shutout of the year and first league win, beating Roseville 2-0 Tuesday afternoon.

Sam Wittingslow scored in the 12th minute off a throw-in and Cory Mortara finished them off with a goal in the 80th minute.

Mortara was assisted by Chris McCormack.



“I’m happy with our solid defense,” said first-year coach Ben Hajduk. “They played a full 80 minutes.”
