Miners JV water polo captures 3rd place in tourney

Nevada Union’s JV water polo team captured third place Saturday in the Del Oro Tournament.

The Lady Miners beat Rocklin 13-6, lost to El Camino and then downed Roseville 5-1 in the third place game.

The team was led by Nicole Blaney, who had nine goals and 4 steals, and Sydney Chambers, who had seven goals and six steals in the tournament.
