NU ski team celebrates

third place finish at state

Nevada Union’s alpine ski team brought back the third place banner at the California Nevada Interscholastic Ski and Snowboard Federation state meet. NU’s snowboard team is currently competing in the state meet at Northstar-At-Tahoe.

Spring hoops camp set

for incoming NU freshmen

A basketball camp for incoming Nevada Union freshmen will be offered 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays and 5;30-7:30 p.m. Fridays at Park Avenue Gymnasium, 140 Park Ave., Grass Valley. Cost is $50 per player. A meeting will be held for players and parents 6-7 p.m. March 10 in the Science Wing lecture hall at NUHS. For more information call John Whalin (273-0419) or Dallas Wivholm (477-5605).

Senior Softball tryouts

resume Saturday morning

Registration and tryouts for the upcoming 50-and-over Gold Country Senior Softball Association season resume 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Western Gateway Park in Penn Valley.
