Local Roundup: Lady Falcons soccer can’t break through

Forest Lake Christian’s Lady Falcon soccer team dropped one game and tied another this weekend in the California Spring Classic.

The first game was a loss against Lick-Wilmerding, which led 7-0 at the end of the first half.

Forest Lake (0-2-1) held the Tigers scoreless in the second half while Christa Weisman found the goal two times, Emily English scored the team’s third goal and Katelyn Seitz and Kaylee Lommori each recorded assists in the 7-3 loss.

In the second game of the day, the match ended in a 3-3 tie against Amador High School. Forest Lake’s Lommori scored two goals on assists from Weisman to lead at intermission 2-0. The Falcons gave up three goals in the back half of the game and Seitz passed the ball to Weisman, who found the net for the third and final score for FLC.

The Lady Falcons host Whitney Wednesday for its home opener, with kickoff set for 3 p.m.
