Local kids heat up at Mammoth ski races

Seven Hills School’s Corey Browning and Kelsey Collins made a favorable impression at the U.S. Ski Association Far West North Series at Mammoth Lakes.

Browning, a sixth-grader placed sixth in Saturday’s Super G race, and took second during Sunday’s competition of the boys’ J4 Class.

Collins, a seventh-grader, placed eighth Saturday and sixth Sunday in the Super G competition of the girls J4 class.

Both skiers ski for the Sugar Bowl competitive team in Norden. They are currently training for next month’s season championship races for the 11-12 age division at Mammoth.
