Lady Miners play for the cure, raise funds for breast cancer efforts

Tuesday night was Pink Night at Albert Ali Gymnasium where the Lady Miners raised funds for local beeast cancer efforst and faced off with Sierra Foothill League foe Woodcreek.

Not only did the Lady Miners raise funds for a good cause, but they also earned their first SFL win of the season, beating the Lady Timberwolves in four sets, 25-11, 25-20, 26-28, 25-10.

In the win, NU’s Regan Heppe had 13 kills and six aces, Nadia Torkman had 12 kills and four aces, Jessica Dent tallied six kills, Rachel Sarner had seven digs, Taylor Riley had 30 assists, and Alex Cooke had 14 assists.
