Players compete at the Gold Country Youth Soccer Hallowen Jamboree Oct. 19.
Submitted by Brendan Brooks |

The Gold Country Youth Soccer League hosted its second annual Halloween Jamboree Oct. 19 with the purpose of providing a fun and creative opportunity for the kids and to give them a taste of how a competitive tournament is run.

Thirty teams participated in this year’s jamboree, including teams from the U8, U10 and U12 age groups. Most of the teams donned costumes for their games, many of which were homemade just for the occasion. Each team played three games within their pool. Awards were given for the winners of each pool within the three age brackets.
