Junior tennis camps this summer at Club Sierra Sports & Fitness

Club Sierra Sports & Fitness is offering two tennis camps this summer for junior players 18 years of age and under. The camps offer beginner and intermediate players a fun time and great exercise in a social setting.

Each camp will be two weeks long: June 17-21 and June 24-28, and July 8-12 and July 15-19. The camps are held Monday through Friday with 90 minutes per day of instruction. The cost is $100 per player, per camp. Class time is 8:30 -10:00 a.m. for intermediates; 10:00-11:30 a.m. for beginners.

The intermediate camp is for players with prior tennis experience. This exciting, fast-paced class focuses on improving strokes, footwork and strategy in singles and doubles.

Beginners will get exercise and have fun learning fundamentals of tennis, including strokes, motor skills, basic movement and etiquette in their camp.

Classes will be taught by Cheryl Rubin, a professional certified instructor. Her background includes USTA 5.0 league, tournament, and intercollegiate play. She is a recipient of the Outstanding College Athletes of America Award.

To sign up for any of the classes, contact Rubin, 530-210-9913 or fill out a form at Club Sierra and turn it into the front desk: 130 West. Berryhill Drive, Grass Valley, 477-8800.

Please sign up no later than one week prior to the start of the camp.
