Hundreds compete at 17th annual Union Hill Empire Mine Run

Over a bridge and through the woods to the finish line they went Wednesday as hundreds of fourth through eight graders traversed the trees at Empire Mine in Grass Valley. Competing in the 17th annual Union Hill Empire Mine Run, 17 area schools brought more than 350 young distance runners to put their best foot forward for the country-western themed cross country event.
