Nevada Union sophomore volleyball player Ali Daley showed she will be a force to be reckoned with this season.

Daley ripped 18 kills to help the Miners post a four-game victory over Vacaville at Nevada Union High School Tuesday night.

Daley also showed her versatility, leading the team with 20 digs, including a couple of back-to-the-net one-fist volleys that might not have eventually led to points, but certainly served as crowd pleasers during the team’s first showing this season. NU also scored four points off Daley serves Tuesday night.

“I thought Ali Daley played great,” Nevada Union volleyball coach Bob Rogers said. “Her front-row hitting was great, and she chased down and scrambled after balls well.”
