Hall hits No. 4 spot in Chico

Mark Hall, of Grass Valley, erased a bad start to his day by taking a fifth-place heat finish and turning it into a second-place outing at the 410 Sprint Race at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico.

Hall qualified fourth overall with an 11.951 top lap, before upping the ante in the ŒA’ feature.

Grass Valley’s Billy Wallace ran into some trouble in the Wingless Sprints feature race, falling to 11th place after taking one of the two top spots in the heats.

Browns Valley’s Cody Myers finished in fourth place overall in the Wingless Sprints and his brother Mason finished in 12th.

Calistoga Speedway

Colfax’s Colby Wiesz burned through the first heat of the 360 Sprints at Calistoga Speedway last week but fell off in the ŒA’ feature, finishing in 10th place of the 22-car field.

Wiesz had finished at the top of his heat and had a qualifying time of 18.880, good for 24th on the day.

Grass Valley resident Pat Harvey Jr. didn’t fare as well, finishing in 10th place in his heat and 37th in qualifying in 19.833.
