Good news in power ratings

The fourth edition of the Sac-Joaquin Section basketball power ratings were released Tuesday, and good news was contained within for several area teams.

In Division I, the Nevada Union boys (7-2 league, 15-8 overall), are rated fifth, and the NU girls (5-3, 15-6), are rated 11th.

In Div. III, the Bear River boys (1-9, 2-20), are still near the bottom, rated 27th. The Bruin girls (9-0, 19-2), on the other hand, have moved up one spot to fourth.

The biggest news is in Div. V, though. The Forest Lake Christian boys (6-5, 12-9), have been slipping in the ratings, but their playoff hopes are still alive, rated 14th this week.

The FLC girls (11-0, 19-2), have moved into the top spot, rated No. 1.
