2005 lineup: Eric Brown (10), Nial Conn (9), Tyler Chicourrat (10), DePass, Honey and Ursiny

Coach Nakano says: “We’re not as strong as the last two years, but our scores are getting better every match. As long as we continue on that path, by the end of the season we’ll be right there with the other teams.”

Forest Lake Christian

Coach: Joel Meisenheimer

2004: 8-4, third place in Central Valley Christian League

Returning regulars: Peter Burton (10), Jason Pulliam (10), Jeff Pulliam (12), Ian Shore (12).

2005 lineup: Jeremy Brown (9), Matt Rosene (10), Burton, Shore and the Pulliams.

Coach Meisenheimer says: “Most of the people we had last year are back. I think we’re better than we were last year, but I don’t know if we are better than the other top two teams in the league, Woodland Christian and Faith Christian.”

Nevada Union

Coach: Hank Davidson

2004: Third place in Metro Conference

Returning regulars: D.J. Milligan (10).

2005 lineup: Gavin Butcher (10), Andrew Grizzell (10), Erik Flores (12), Justin Johnson (12), Cole Voors (12) and Milligan.

Coach Davidson says: “Our goal is to finish first or second in the league to qualify for the subsection tourney … We’re old, but we’re young. We’ve got three seniors and three sophomores. So we have some high hopes riding on that senior leadership.”
