Gold Country rushes competition, wins title

The Gold Country Rush U14 competitive girls soccer team won the Rick Hitch Soccer Tournament this past weekend in Roseville.

The girls won the first game 6-0. They then tied the second game 1-1. On Sunday, they won their first game 3-0 and that afternoon they beat the host Roseville team 1-0 in the championship game.

Coaches may submit game reports by email at sports@theunion.com or by phone at 530-477-4232. Deadline for submission is 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 5 p.m. Sunday.
