Thousands of racers, runners and walkers congregated at Hooper Stadium on the Nevada Union High School Campus for the eighth annual Michael Bratton II Turkey Trot 5K/10K fun run.

Over the years the Turkey Trot has raised more than $180,000 for the MEB2 Foundation which sponsors Anew Day, local youth activities, and suicide and depression awareness.

The annual Thanksgiving day race has also served as the final event of the Gold Country Grand Prix since 2007.
