FLC volleyball falls to Lincoln in five games

Forest Lake Christian suffered a 3-2 setback to host Lincoln Tuesday night, as the Zebras scored a 25-13, 25-20, 24-26, 22-25, 15-9 victory.

“It was probably one of the toughest teams we’ve faced so far, in terms of size and power of their hits,” said FLC coach Laura Allred. “So I’m glad we dragged them out to five (games).”

Caitlin Hanson led FLC with 12 kills and four aces, while Tessa Gavia had five kills and four aces. Jen Menary set up 20 assists and Morghan Pomeroy totaled four stuff blocks.



The Falcons (3-1) host Bradshaw Christian Thursday.

Over the weekend, FLC competed in the Carmichael Invitational, playing in a five bracket pool consisting of Del Campo (enrollment 1,900), River City (1,609), Cordova (2,004), and Monte Vista Christian (700 )and Forest Lake (290).




FLC finished fifth in pool play and beat Center 26-24 in bracket play, before falling to Lodi 25-19 in the semifinals.
