Falcons rout Country Day

Forest Lake Christian’s varsity girls basketball team routed Country Day 71-24 Friday to move to 2-0 in Central Valley Christian League play.

FLC’s starting lineup, without an ill junior guard Taylor Kilgore, outscored Country Day’s starters 51-6, according to FLC head coach Steve Kellar.

The Falcons were led by Brooke Hodges’ 16 points, while Olympia Jacobs added 15 points, Laura Courtney 7 and and Jessica Lockhart 6.

The Falcons (8-4 overall) travel to Sacramento Lutheran on Tuesday and return home for a CVCL matchup with Sac Waldorf Jan. 15.

FLC’s junior varsity girls defeated Country Day 54-6 Friday, lifting the Falcon JV’s mark to 12-1 overall and 2-0 in CVCL action.
