Errors hurt NU on road

The Nevada Union baseball team committed five errors and gave up six unearned runs in a 10-0 loss to host Del Campo of Fair Oaks Thursday.

The Miners (6-6 overall, 2-3 Capital Athletic League) handed Davis its first league loss of the season three days ago, but fell short of a repeat performance against league leader Del Campo (5-0 CAL).

“It was like night and day (between Tuesday and today),” NU head coach Ted White said. “It was like a totally different team showed up.”

Will Lindsey, Jason Gillard, Jason Snavely and Chris Brown each a had a single for NU.

Cody Godfrey tallied three strikeouts in 41/3 innings on the mound to get the loss.

The Miners will host Rio Americano of Sacramento 3 p.m. Saturday.
