BR Little League action a mixed bag

The Diamondbacks sent a 10-run message out to the Indians in their game last week. The Diamondbacks won the Bear River Little League matchup 15-5.

Bryant Chapman was the winning pitcher. Chapman went three innings, allowed three runs on eight hits and notched six strikeouts. Chapman and teammate Drew Loftus went 3-for-4 at the plate. Chapman also had a double.

Gary Schmidt went 2-for-3 for the Indians, including a double.



Braves 3, Rockies 1




Dalton Wirick had six strikeouts in a 3-1, winning effort on the mound for the Braves. Matt White got the save.

Kenneth Giacomini was 2-for-2 batting, including an RBI.

Yankees 10,

White Sox 4

Andrew Ritchart led the Yankees offense with a home run, a double and four RBIs. He was also the winning pitcher as the Yankees beat the White Sox 10-4.

Patrick Scott went 2-for-3 with a double for the Yankees. Joe Lemengello was also 2 of 3 at the plate.

The White Sox were led by Cameron Van Burkleo hit two of three, including a triple, a double and two RBIs.

Braves 6, Diamondbacks 3

Vince Viola got the mound win in the Braves 6-3 victory over the Diamondbacks.

Viola pitched three innings, allowing three runs on two hits with eight strikeouts. Viola also turned up the offensive heat, going 3-for-3 with one home run, a double and three RBIs.

Diamondbacks 4, Yankees 3

Bryant Chapman chalked up 10 strikeouts in four innings on the mound as the Diamondbacks edged the Yankees 4-3.

Drew Loftus went 2-for-two at the plate for the Diamondbacks.

Alex Fischer was 3 of 3 for the Yankees. Zachary Welz hit 2 of 3.

Braves 9, Indians 5

Austin French went 3-for-3, including a double and two RBIs, as the Braves beat the Yankees 9-5. Teammate Jack Thompson hit 2 of 3, with a double.

For the Indians, Brendon Casey went 3-for-3. Matt Donley went 2-for-3 with double and an RBI. Casey Connor went 2-for-3.

Rockies 11,

White Sox 3

Led by the offensive outing of Trevor DeSchryver, the Rockies dealt the White Sox an 11-3 loss.

DeSchryver went 2-for-3 at the plate, including a double and an RBI. Tommy Jones had a triple and two RBIs. Brandt Ozanich had a double.

Adam Doxtater was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the White Sox. Ryan Bock had a triple. Cody McClure went 2-for-3.
