BR golf takes fourth

The Bear River boys golf team took fourth in the Sierra Foothill League Tournament No.2 with a combined score of 397 at Brookside Country Club in Stockton Monday.

Rocklin grabbed the team title with a 381. Rocklin’s Matt Lopez earned medalist honors with a one-over-par 73. Ben Honey and Ryan Ursiny carded 77s each to pace the Bruins.

Steve Chan and Ryan Heuseveldt, who each shot 78s, earned berths into next Monday’s Sac-Joaquin Sub Sections at Yolo Fliers Country Club in Woodland. Tom Eisenhower finished with an 87.
