Miner quarterback Jon Sheets threw three touchdown passes and Vu Pham and Chris Thibodeau each had a pair of rushing touchdowns in Friday’s homecoming win.

NU, which beat Hiram Johnson 52-14 the week before, also got two touchdowns each from Joe Dolan and Joey Bratton to move to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in league.

Dan Smith and Chad Bomar also scored.

Kyle McTighe had 37-yard field goal.

Yuba City 7

Mario Sonora threw for 216 yards on 14-of-21 passing as the Wolves (6-0, 2-0) moved into a second place tie with Nevada Union.

Curtis Barfield scored twice in the win.

Sammy Andrade ran a total of 128 yards on eight catches.

Johnson dropped to 0-6 overall with the loss.

The Warriors, who trailed 34-8 at the half, are 0-2 in league

C.J. Wallace totaled 260 yards on seven carries and scored five touchdowns as the Pacers (6-0, 3-0) took over sole possession of first place in the Metro Conference.

Syd Thompson scored on both sides of the ball in the win.

The senior wide receiver/defensive back hauled in a 49-yard touchdown pass and returned an interception 34 yards for a score.
