Bear River steps up to plate in S.F.

The Bear River baseball team continues action today at the Spring Tournament in South San Francisco. The Bruins lost 7-2 to Aragon during Monday’s opening game.

The Bruins face Hillside at noon today and also Concord at 3 p.m. today. Depending on how the team does will decide if Bear River plays again on Wednesday. All games are being held at Skyline High School in San Francisco.

The Nevada Union squad returns to Sierra Foothill League play with a game Wednesday at Woodcreek and Friday at home against Granite Bay. Both games start at 4 p.m.



Softball

Bear River’s Pioneer League Leading team gets back into the swing of things Friday. In their last game, the Bruins survived a scare from rival Nevada Union before prevailing 7-3.




The Bruins take the field Friday at Folsom while the Miners return to the diamond Thursday for a home game against Sierra Foothill League rival Roseville.

For Forest Lake Christian, the Falcons get their first action since March 27. FLC begins play from a long break with a home tilt with Victory Christian at 4 p.m. Friday.

Volleyball

The Nevada Union squad is back on the court with two road games this week – first at Del Oro at 6:30 p.m. today and against a tough Rocklin squad at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Bear River squad, meanwhile, gets two home matches. The Bruins host Whitney at 6 p.m. today followed by Del Oro at 6 p.m. Thursday.
