Audubon bird count slated

The Sierra Foothills Audubon Society wants to remind folks that the Great Backyard Bird Count will be held Feb. 15, 16 and 17.

Audubon member Jim Groeser says it’s, “Fun to do. Spend as much time as like in the warmth of your home. Simply look outside and record the birds in your yard feeder area.”

“Your recording will help national scientific data banks,” Groeser added.

There are no fees or registration to participate. For simple instructions, check the Internet at http://www.birdsource.org or call 800-843-2473.
