Alumni Notebook: Biersdorff tabbed golfer of the week

Spencer Biersdorff, a 2008 Nevada Union graduate, bolstered his impressive golf credentials with the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, as he was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference golfer of the week.

He shot a career best 66 in a tournament early last week at the Grand Canyon Fall Invitational in Goodyear, Ariz. Biersdorff followed that up with a couple of 73s in the second and third rounds, which were a little more difficult because of wind and thunderstorm delays.

Biersdorff finished second in the tournament’s field of 92 players. He shot a team low in all three rounds and the Mountain Lions finished in second in the tournament.
