Here’s a look at how some college athletes with local ties fared recently:

BASEBALL

Josh Roenicke (Nevada Union, ’01); UCLA – The redshirt sophomore outfielder/pitcher went 1-3 with a pair of putouts in a 103 loss to Wichita State (Kan.) Sunday.

From the mound, Roenicke gave up a hit and struck out one in one inning of work.

GOLF

Allyson Harvie (Bear River, ’02); Ohio State University (Columbus) – The sophomore carded a three-round total of 233 to finish tied for 57th at the NCAA West Regional Tournament at Stanford Saturday.

TRACK & FIELD

Sarah Prout (NU, ’03); University of Nevada (Reno) – The freshman won the 100 meter hurdles (15.01 seconds) and took second in the 400 hurdles (1:02.96) at the Chico Twilight Open at CSU-Chico May 1.

Michael Davies (NU, ’02); CSU-Chico – The sophomore took third in the triple jump (46 feet, eight inches) and seventh in the long jump (20-5 1/2) at the Chico Twilight Open May 1.

Ryder Heidelberger (NU, ’02); UC-Davis – The sophomore was sixth in the 200 meter dash (22.31) and eighth in the 400 at the Chico Twilight Open May 1.
