Here is a look at how some college athletes with local ties fared over the weekend.


n Ashley Bello – Forest Lake Christian ’01; The University of San Francisco

– The sophomore outside hitter finished with 12 kills, four blocks and a dig in a three-game loss to the Santa Clara University.

n Amber Donovan – FLC ’02; Westmont University (Santa Barbara)

– The freshman setter had 57 assists, seven digs, and a block in Westmont’s three-game win over Azusa Pacific University in the NAIA Region II Tournament consolation final.


n Spencer Havner – Nevada Union ’01; The University of California, Los Angeles

– The redshirt freshman linebacker totaled four tackles in a 52-31 loss to The University of Southern California.

n Logan Carter – NU ’01; The University of Nevada, Reno

-The redshirt freshman linebacker tallied a team-high 13 tackles and had half a sack in a 44-7 loss to Boise State University.

n Matt Logue – Bear River ’02; California State University, Sacramento

– The freshman linebacker had five tackles in a 42-35 win over Humboldt State.
