The Fifth Annual “Friendship 100” was recently held at 49er Family Fun Park to benefit the girls of the Friendship Club. The Friendship Club integrates socially isolated adolescent girls into the community, teaches them important life skills and empowers them to complete their education and lead responsible lives.

The 4 p.m. Mini-Golf Tournament was won by “The Mighty Putters” team of Marcia Salter (captain), Steve Fjeldsted, Jess Montoya and Doug Carver. The 6 p.m. Mini-Golf Tournament title went to the “Mulligan Stew” team of Bill Wray (captain), Dale Southgate, Kathy Southgate and Barbara Duval

Terry McAteer won the Trophy Dash Car Race, while Tony Ozanich was the Car Race Champion for the second straight year.

Local man wins table tennis title

Glenn Johnson, a member of the local Sierra Table Tennis Club, took first place in the U-1500 division of the annual Biggest Little Table Tennis Tournament in Reno last Saturday.
